A native of Iran, Maryam began her photography business in 2003 when she decided to end her career as a medical researcher at The University of Iowa. Her passion for photography and her disappointment after seeing her own wedding pictures inspired her to start her career as a wedding photographer.

Producing unforgettable photos depends a lot on the chemistry between photographer and the wedding couple. Thus Maryam makes a point of getting to know the couple first. She loves the challenge of collecting the memories, “the true moments”, the photographs that preserve the event for generations to come.

She set up business in wedding photography because she loves working with people and she loves photography. Each wedding gives her the chance to be a portrait photographer, fashion photographer, photojournalist and landscape photographer all in one day. In addition, she’s surrounded with the happy people all day long. What more can anyone want from a job?
